Accountant Full Time Part Time

ooblee is a social marketplace for local shopping that gathers local retail shops and their customers in a social network. The App features individual online profiles of the participating shops and their customers and provides special tools that trigger communication (B2C and C2C) and sales.

ooblee is seeking their very first full-time Accountant in Mannheim or the Rhein-Main Region. Working alongside with a newly appointed Group CFO, you will be tasked with bringing the accounting function in-house, providing support to establishing all processes, procedures and controls. We are looking for a technically strong, analytical and driven individual with a strong reporting mindset and a true business partner to help drive management decisions.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports to state authorities and CFO (HGB and IFRS)
• Supporting and communication on tax , commercial law, liaising with tax advisors and all other external parties
• Providing support in implementing internal accounting system – Microsoft`s Business Central
• Assist with accounts receivable management in the form of invoice preparation and monitoring of outstanding invoices
• Adhere to policies and guidelines and ensure compliance with good internal controls
• Identify ways to improve efficiency of existing processes
• Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to solve challenges and blockers
• A/P handling: Checking, entering and reconciling balances
• Handling bank payment matching for A/P and Direct Debits
• Posting all other general ledger entries
